Demo Day presented A Grid startups and Aalto Startup Center accelerator programs and offered attendees a wealth of insights and practical guidance to whole Aalto University startup ecosystem network. For example Aalto Startup Center’s Research to Business, Business Generator, ESA BIC Finland and other programs provide essential tools for startups looking to scale their businesses, navigate challenges, and connect with the right resources.

Lessons from Silicon Valley

One of the most anticipated sessions was the panel discussion, which explored lessons Finnish startup entrepreneurs can learn from Silicon Valley. The conversation delved into the key factors for success, including adaptability, resilience, and the importance of fostering strong investor relationships. Panelists also examined the impact of global political shifts on business and the common pitfalls that startups should avoid.

Finding the right partner

Another exciting component of the event was the co-founder matchmaking, designed to help entrepreneurs find the perfect partner for their business ventures. Session was organized by KIUAS,  the startup accelerator and co-founder matchmaker and it  proved invaluable for many attendees seeking collaboration opportunities to bring their ideas to life. Startups were able to connect with potential co-founders who shared similar visions, complementary skill sets, and the drive to build something innovative together.

Speed pitching competition

Demo Day concluded with a high-energy Speed Pitching competition, where pre-selected startups had just two minutes and one slide to impress the jury with their business ideas. This fast-paced format challenged entrepreneurs to clearly and concisely convey the value of their innovations. After fierce competition, NPHarvest emerged victorious – congratulations to the winner!
