Innovation Week
Innovation Week is a new initiative by Aalto Startup Center and A Grid and a spin-off of Startup Founders’ Town 2024. The event aims to bring together Aalto’s student societies, research groups, startups, and support services from across the Aalto startup ecosystem.
Throughout the week, the Aalto startup ecosystem will showcase its work and foster connections with the broader Finnish startup community. The week of September 29th, we have a special series of events taking place at A Grid and its surroundings. From keynotes to a startup showcase, workshops, and everything in between. Expect the unexpected!
We’re hosting a Startup Showcase Day on Monday, September 29th and we’d love to have you there. This is a great opportunity for your startup to present your activities, projects, and innovations, while engaging with students, researchers, fellow startups and ecosystem partners.

PROGRAM (Monday, September 29th):
10:00 Welcome
10:15 to 10:45 Inspiration reverse engineered — a whole-body experience you can access anytime you choose, by Leigh Ewin (A Grid)
10:45 to 11:45 – Panel Discussion: Redefining Innovation, with Dr. Riikka Mäkikoskela (Aalto University), Sarita Runeberg (Maria01), and Ronny Eriksson (ODDfest). The session will be moderated by Tai Tran (Aalto Founders School)
12:00 to 13:00 – Keynote: Sisu and startups: How to keep the flame alive but not get burned when you’re burning, by Elisabeth Lahti (Behavorial Scientist and Problem Solver)
14:00 to 15:00 – Speed Dating, by Aalto Inventors.
