In the end of April, a new event for students was organized together with A Grid and Aalto Startup Center. A Grid Job Fair and Ecosystem Expo brought students from all over the Helsinki metropolitan area. There was more than 300 participants open for networking and new opportunities.
At the event companies of A Grid and Aalto Startup Center presented their businesses and job opportunities in the A Grid lobby area and the keynotes was held nearby in the event space Mordor. Business Finland presented their services, especially taking into account international companies and job seekers. Leigh Ewin, Community Manager at A Grid, opened up about the possibilities of an entrepreneurial mindset. In addition to these, Omnia Makerspace arranged a CV photo booth open to everyone.
Aalto University campus ecosystem doers, such as the City of Espoo, Aalto Ventures Program, Herizon, Dash, Junction, Suomen Ekonomit, Startup Refugees NGO and Cogknit Oy, introduced themselves at the event and told about their activities and possibilities for students.
According to the survey sent to the participants, the event was very popular and will be followed next year as well. It was great to experience all that positivity, enthusiasm and networking.
